Washington Capitals Win Stanley Cup
The Washington Capitals defeated the Vegas Golden Knights in Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals to secure the first Stanley Cup victory in franchise history. Wilson contributed 15 points in 21 games throughout the playoffs, including an assist on the opening goal of the Stanley Cup clinching game.

In his first season with the Washington Capitals, Wilson scored his first NHL goal against the division rival New York Islanders. The goal came on the powerplay and was assisted by Capitals captain and NHL superstar, Alex Ovechkin.

1st NHL Game
After completing his OHL season, Wilson went on to make his NHL debut as an 18-year old. On May 10th, 2013, Wilson suited up for the Capitals in Game 5 of the 2013 Stanley Cup playoffs against the New York Rangers. Wilson played in the 3 remaining games of that series before the Rangers defeated the Caps in Game 7.

Wilson's NHL career began when he was selected by the Washington Capitals with the 16th pick in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. Wilson was the 1st Canadian forward to be picked in the draft and the 7th forward selected overall.
